The minister visits shut-ins and the sick in hospital and is available for counseling to the troubled or bereaved.
The Pastoral Care Committee gives comfort and support to the congregation. Each committee member regularly phones or visits those who are ill, unable to get out or going through a difficult time. Seasonal greeting, sympathy, thinking-of-you and get-well cards are sent on behalf of the congregation. Plants as well as flowers from Sanctuary decorations are delivered to congregation members in residences, providing an opportunity for a friendly visit.
The committee holds afternoon teas providing home-made treats and relaxed chats with the minister, and also arranges transportation for those needing drives to and from medical appointments, worship services and other church events. Pastoral Care keeps albums up to date with photographs and mementos of the congregation's many activities.
