We reach out to the needy through our involvement in and support of community
projects. We have a close association with the Côte des Neiges
Council of Churches. We contribute to their summer day camp program, and
members of our congregation regularly volunteer at the Council's
second-hand store. We provide funding for programs such as the assistance
for struggling families, teens and the physically and intellectually
challenged offered by St. Columba House in Pointe St. Charles; housing
and advocacy for newly arrived refugees, an inner city summer day camp
and work integration for street youth provided by the Montreal City Mission
in Plateau Mont Royal; a food bank and meal program at MultiCaf in
Côte des Neiges; and, secondary education and parenting programs
for teen moms at Elizabeth House in Notre Dame de Grace. We have two
special annual appeals, one to fund food baskets at Christmas and the
other in spring to help underprivileged children go to summer camp.
We commit a portion of our income to the Mission and Service Fund
which is supported by donations from every congregation in the United Church.
This fund is distributed by the church's national office to charitable
work around the world.

During the week, our facilities accommodate two separate children's groups
- a day care and a pre-school program - and our meeting rooms hum with activities
ranging from adult literacy tutoring to lunches for seniors.
